Briefly

Barn Store is an independent, 24-hour access self-storage business run by the farming Bazeley family.

Cheekily, we were asked to produce a memorable brand identity design in exchange for a crate of beer (another product of the farm). In a moment of weakness we uncharacteristically accepted (well, much as we relish a creative challenge, we love a good pint).

What we did

The core of the storage facilities are refurbished shipping containers, finished with a distinctive red paint. We took one of these as a basis for an appropriately solid and reliable graphic icon, the split ‘O’ of store suggesting door handles.

What happened next

Offered as a franchise to landowners with suitable capacity, Barn Store, winners of the Food and Farming Industry, Rural Enterprise Award, is now operated from 9 rural sites throughout the country with our logo design at the heart of all brochure design.
